Stourport man sentenced in connection with business burglaries Following a West Mercia Police investigation, a man has been sentenced to prison for burglary offences in Stourport. Tommy Taylor, aged 26 of Broach Road, Stourport, was arrested and charged yesterday (Wednesday 14 March) with three counts of burglary. The charges are in connection with burglaries at local businesses on Sandy Lane, Stourport on 24 February, Nelson Road, Stourport on 25 February and Worcester Road, Stourport on 28 February. He was remanded in custody and appeared before Kidderminster Magistrates' Court today (Thursday 15 March) where he pleaded guilty to all three offences. He was today given a twelve month custodial sentence. Following the sentencing, Detective Sergeant Martin Brown from West Mercia Police said: "Burglary offences can impact greatly on local business owners and I'm pleased that we were able to secure a quick conviction.
